As many of you know one of the many benefits of living here in the Gateway Apartments is that Monday through Thursday mornings we get fresh baked goods form the Publix supermarkets including rolls, bread, cakes, pies, cookies, etc.

I usually share what goodies I get with Gino, Allen and John--well all 3 amigos are on diets and haven't been helping me out--see can't always depend on friends--they want me to be the fattest in the group!!!

Consequently, I am being forced to eat the following for dinner this evening:

Chocolate cake

Miniature eclairs

Cinnamon buns

My philosophy

I wouldn't listen to me next week when I moan and groan about how much weight I have gained--remember: "Do as I say NOT as I do!"

OMGoodness, I gained weight just looking at these. And Publix cakes are the absolute best! I have their ice cream cake every year for birthdays. My older son favors their carrot cake. Truth is, everything there is good.
