Thoughts Left over from Yesterday :O)

In a few hours I will be heading down to the Miami airport to pick up Allen and John--they get in at 10:30 PM, hopefully--first time I have had a car since the gas prices sky rocketed--didn't really go too many places and still had to put in $50 of gas--good thing I don't have a car these days as I would never make it financially!!

I am not having that much of a problem with Vista BUT there is no way I can resize pictures to make them smaller to post them--took me over 45 minutes to post the flower pictures yesterday--anyone know of a FREE photo shop sort of site??

Also, since I got the new tower with Vista I am unable to scan with my printer--will have to figure that out.

Saw the most awful TV show the other day--it only shows what people will do to make money--lowering themselves in the process--it is called The Moment Of Truth--shows people at their worst!

Talking about TV--during the month of June many of the cable stations like AMC, TCM, Sundance, Bravo show many gay themed movies and documentaries saluting Gay Pride Month--and people wonder why we have to have the latter!!

Regarding the open heart surgery--why should I get a second opinion?? If they agree fine, if they don't what then? Get a 3rd opinion and take the two best out of three? I do feel confident with the surgeon and since I have decided to go ahead I think I will just stick with that decision.

I am not having luck with post operation help at home--my insurance will only cover 16 HOURS A MONTH!!! It looks like I will have to go into rehab (nursing home?) for a few weeks or at least until I am mobile enough and not hurting that much--my insurance is sending me a list of rehab facilities so it looks like I will go 'shopping' for a good, clean, efficient one near to my place,

Now I have to decide if I want to go in for operation AFTER "Mamma Mia" opens up in theatres supposedly July 18--hey some things are more important than others!! LOL

Talking about movies--I really lucked out with movie gift cards for my birthday--haven't paid for a movie since Feb. 29th!!!!

I think my brain is empty now!!! :O)

The closest thing I know to Photoshop that is free is a companion of Flickr (no e) I Joined so I could post some photos there for my friends, and discovered One ca do lots of stuff with a companion program called "Picnik." Go for it! It's free! (My favorite word.)

I agree with you about going with your surgeon. It is a big decision, but if you are really comfortable with him and the information he is giving you, then go with it.

You will definitely need to be somewhere that care is available for a few weeks.

Martin, I think elfie suggested a free photo site on one of your earlier posts when you mentioned re-sizing difficulties.

If you do get to see Mamma Mia I'll think you're one lucky dog. It's played here in Providence on at least a half a dozen or so "limited engagement" occasions over a number of seasons now and I still haven't seen it.

This is tough, can Allen stay there to help you out.
How about John?and your sister in law or brother (ouch)
this is very sad not to have someone there to watch you.
Too bad that we are not around, will be glad to help.
First thing first.I would had to see you go to a nursing home for
a few weeks or so Don't worry about Mama Mia this will be around
a long time.first thing first my friend and that is your health.
mama mia is not going to be there to help you.
not even papa mia.
Well not sure what to say about this, but do wish you the best
of luck.
