Will He Ever Shut up About His Birthday?

"PROBABLY NOT!"

Leap Year Cactus  February 7, 2012  3 full blooms  3 half blooms  8 buds

There
has been a rumor that I may be kidnapped to Key West either the week
before or the week after THE day but I have been unable to find out
anything about it--meanwhile some of the definite plans have been set
and are in motion.

Within the
29 days of February I plan to eat in 19 different restaurants of which 5
are favorites, 6 I have wanted to try and haven't gotten to yet or have
been out of my budget and 8
are new , being talked about and, hopefully, will not be run of the mill. I
have been, so far, to Morton's Steakhouse, Seasons 52 and Marriott
Harbor Beach Sea Level. I will, of course, write reviews of them and, if
they have it, order their carrot cake!

On February 18 we will be going up to Malapan, Florida to attend a
Master Class given by Donna McKechnie in the afternoon and in the
evening see her one woman show. I hoping to get a picture with her! In
between the class and show we will have a late lunch at the Old Key Lime
restaurant, one of the oldest restaurants in Florida.

On the big day itself it is the opening night of the touring company of
"Billy Elliot--the musical" and lunch at The Cheesecake Factory and a
snack (carrot cake?) after the show.

Along
the way we will be celebrating Robert's birthday on February 12 (same
day as my sister-in-law and Doyle of Memphis) by going to brunch at
Portia's, a Southern cooking leaning, restaurant.

My Leap Year month started off on February 1st with the opening of "The
Fresh Market"  not too far from my place. I think they were sort of
hinting that March 1 I will have to do a lot of shopping there!

There
are a few more things being planned between sunrise (left) and sunset
(right) over the 29 days of my 19th birthday but this year is definitely
different than it has been in the past 18 birthdays and except for
being kidnapped you'll get to hear about it all--probably all through
March!!!

February 29th is special...

It's the reason that a season comes at the same time every year.

If you're born on Leap Day... Welcome Home!

Just 22 days to our next birthday!

Those of us who have a birthday every year, whether we celebrate it or not, can't know what it is like to only grow older every four years. Go ahead, sir, keep on keepin' on about the upcoming day.

No, I don't think 'he' ever will shut about it. That's okay, it's a rare occurrence, like a comet, so you can talk about it being on the way, talk about it while it's here, and endlessly talk about it after it's passed from view.

No I will only talk about it until the end of March

When one only has a b-day every four years I suppose it's Ok to make up for the other 3 years by over doing...
