I
don't recall when Seasons 52 opened--3 years ago? 4? 5?--in any case I
was there the first month and loved the place. I liked the gimmicks of
all dishes being only 475 calories each, the menu changed according to
seasons presenting the freshest of foods and the petite servings of
dessert. With all that going for the restaurant it was almost adding
icing on the cake getting good service and encased by a warm ambiance. I went to their opening week and had 1 each of their mini-desserts--there went their calorie count gimmick!!
After
the first time I went there quite a few times and then before I knew it
a few years past!! Though I knew it was on the expensive side I had it
on my list of birthday restaurants so off we went.
We
were quickly greeted and shown to a table, our server, Marissa, said
"Hello,", then asked what we would like to drink and served it almost
immediately. For a change Allen's iced tea and my coffee were both the
same price--$2.50. Obviously the restaurant uses a better coffee as was
immediately noticeable by the taste!
All
in all, though expensive for lunch---$55, including tip--which we can't
afford too often it certainly won't be as long between visits to Season
52 because we deserve it!!
Allen had the grilled sea scallops ($20.95)
I had the shrimp pasta ($17.35)
They were both excellent as our clean plates showed. We agreed the portions were more than enough to satisfy us.
You may notice the halo over my head as I didn't have any dessert!
The
few times I have been there the food, service and atmosphere has always
been tops. All in all, though expensive for lunch---$55, including
tip--which we can't afford too often it certainly won't be as long
between visits to Season 52 because we deserve it!!
There is Galleria valet and/or free garage parking.
I will take out of towners there for lunch and do suggest it to locals.
