Some
days are just perfect and I have had quite a few. In fact there was
just a report that South Florida usually reports higher temperatures
than the rest of the USA 75 days a year including Winter. Today was such
a day like right now at 6PM the temperature is 72 degrees with a 10-15
mile cool breeze off the ocean. (This was written a week ago before we
got a ‘cold wave’ with a temperature of 48 degrees one morning and highs
only in the 60s. Now don’t laugh--this is Fort Lauderdale where the
average high during winter is 77 degrees!)

It is not only the
temperatures that I am talking about. This week alone I will be going to
see a Broadway touring company, two movies, which means at least 3
meals eating out, which I love to do.

Whether sitting on a bench
overlooking the inter-coastal, watching the yachts, canoes, paddlers,
kayak or fish jumping out of the water or seeing a school of manatees
swimming to their breeding area or just reading the paper or a magazine
life just feels right.

Seeing and/or talking with neighbors or
the ladies in the office, and now joined by Robert our new social
worker, just adds to a pleasant way of living.
