I
save a lot of things to my desktop such as pictures I want to post on
blogs, items I need to put in the Gazette, notes, etc., and every once
in awhile I have to clean it up as it gets too crowded. The pictures
above were taken Friday, July 8, 2011, me on the left and Allen on the
right in his new glasses. They were taken downtown Fort Lauderdale near
the Riverfront complex.

Arnie, Norman and I did the Thursday rounds: The Dollar Tree, Publix,
Winn Dixie and Home Depot. Along the way we stopped for lunch at the
Quarterback. Timothy, one of the regulars, waited on us and took our
joshing in good humor.
Norman
had fish and chips, Arnie had lobster bisque and coffee--he was going
out for dinner early--and I had a prime rib sandwich with broccoli.

I
bought myself a wireless mouse and keyboard set last week and I am
pretty proud of the fact that I put it together and got it working all
by myself!!

Took
a ride in the park and passed my favorite theatre, The Parker
Playhouse. It is a gem of a smaller theatre holding 1,160 people with
great sight lines and you hear everything, even if sitting in the last
row, the acoustics are so good. They have larger than life portraits of
stars, like Yul Brynner and Gertrude Lawrence in "The King and I", an
art gallery in the lower level and a small but compact bar.
No,
that's not a hotel. I had to go for my breathing tests at the Broward General hospital and that is their lobby. They have a Starbucks, Subways
and McDonald's plus a hospital cafeteria. Think they are trying to get
you sick?
On
the left is Carol, our security guard, and on the right is the corner
of the walkway right outside my apartment and my plants. Last, but not
least, a sign I have to put in the August issue of the Gazette!!!
