AM I Old or Mature???

When I was younger I hated routine and yet know I crave it! Is that a sign of old age or, finally, becoming mature??

In any case I felt very comfortable getting back to my Wednesday routine which consists of Allen coming by and taking me on my errands--getting my winning lottery tickets (d'oh!), cashing a check at the bank for spending money for the week, going to the drugstore for prescriptions (that is being old!!) and the going out for lunch.

Allen and I like to try new restaurants so today we went to a new place called Kyojin--an upscale Japanese seafood buffet--that 'upscale' of course is another word for expensive LOL

It was impressive IF you like sushi--I don't--too salty and raw fish is not one of my favorite things--they do have over 60 items on their sashimi bar--I stuck mainly to the hibachi grill and the oriental hot food dishes. Allen, though not particularly a sushi lover did make 3 trips mainly concentrating on the vegetable and rice sushi combinations.

We did eat our full and did make a couple of trips to the dessert section!!!

All in all something different but not a place I would return to.

And being back to routine--tomorrow I go food shopping for the week at Publix!!

To answer your question...yes, old age and young kids, need routine, consistency = a feeling of being safe. One knows what's coming...now a days...yikes...so much so fast...changes....slow it down!!!

My two daughters both love sushi and have gotten me to appreciate it somewhat. At least I've stopped thinking of it as strictly bait served up in a fancy setting.

Here in Oklahoma, we like our fish deepfried! Routine is comforting sometimes.

I don't like raw fish Martin. What a coincedence btw. I ate Japanese last sunday. Victorian Perch and salmon, as well as steak, duck and Lamb meat. All prepared on japanese style ( on a big plate at our table by our own cook) It was delicious ( but expensive too)

You're old, Martin. And maturing like a ripe old cheese. Can't stand raw fish either.

Publix is my store! I was there today spending too much money. They have chicken breasts on sale! Anyway...Not a fan of sushi either. I've tried it repeatedly and it just tastes salty and yucky!
