John is somewhat of a newcomer to Fort Lauderdale and we are trying to introduce him to the restaurants in the area--too bad he is on a diet, but aren't we all??
I have been eating at Catfish Dewey's since they opened in 1984--their food is constantly good and every night are different all you can eat specials--naturally prices have gone up in 24 years but I still think you get value for your money.
John had a lunch platter while Gino had the fried shrimp and fried catfish and Allen and I had the fried shrimp, peel and eat em shrimp and fried catfish fillets--it all came with hush puppies, cole slaw and potato with tartar and cocktail sauce.
The peel and eat 'em shrimp were not the tiny ones but a good size--lucky for me (I had more) Allen doesn't like to peel shrimp!!!
Needless to say I cleaned my plate TWICE--the others gave up!!
I am now at home fighting a carrot cake--having a cholesterol blood test in a couple of weeks I really should be watching myself--oh the heck with it I'll take a double dose of my statin pill tonight--not that THAT will work!!! LOL
