Another Movie-less Friday! :O(

With "Bangkok Dangerous" starring Nicolas Cage being the only movie opening up today neither Allen or I were thrilled and decided to do something else.
We
had a 2-4-1 coupon for the Museum Of Modern Art. Allen had never been
there and it had been a long time since I last made a visit.

I
was surprised to see that the entrance fee was only $5--normally it is
around $15--so with the coupon we both got in for $5. It didn't take
long to find out why the reduction in price--half the museum was closed as they were getting ready for a new exhibit.

Their featured exhibit is the Glackens Collection. Am I the only one who never heard of William J. Glackens
or his paintings?  Not at all impressed with a lot of his work-- just
poor imitations of most/much better artists. None of the other work by
others were much better though I must admit I have seen some excellent
exhibits there previously!

Allen
felt hungry so we went to Lester's diner--he had pepper steak with rice
and I had a cheese omelet with hash browns. I have definitely lost my
appetite and don't eat anywhere near the quantities I use to--hopefully
that will change.

Comments:

A museum is definitely a nice way to pass some time...it doesn't always have to be a movie (although I would not have passed on a chance to see Nicolas Cage)...and art museums are certainly good for inspiring conversations because who can resist making comments.
