She is way up there in years, isn't she? And still working. Wow.

She's over 90!

I too saw "Hello, Dolly" in OKC when she toured with it. An interesting footnote. Years later, her son Channing was the editorial cartoonist for the Daily Oklahoman. Can't recall his last name.

That's probably a typo. Didn't you mean "Chan" Lowe rather than "Chad" Lowe. Chan, being short for Channing, which is what he was known as in his younger years.

His name is Chad Lowe and he has been working for the Sun-Sentinel here for many. many years--does great political cartoons and a good blog--he never acknowledges her as his mother and she never mentions him--I wonder if she does in the film?

In the 1960s, Carol Channing came to Denver starring in Hello Dolly! It reminded me of seeing Joe E. Brown live starring in Harvey - the both have big mouths.

And BIG talent!!! I wouldn't go out of my way to see here but it seems I saw her in most of her Broadway shows starting with "Lend an Ear" back in the Ice age!
