DO WANT TO THANK EVERYONE FOR THEIR RESPONSE TO MY BLOG YESTERDAY
INCLUDING ALL THE PERSONAL E-MAILS. i DO HAVE TO EXPLAIN
SOMETHING--PLEASE FOLKS I AM NOT WORRIED--THAT ISN'T HOW I THINK--UNTIL I
FIND OUT IN BLACK AND WHITE THAT SOMETHING IS WRONG AND WHAT CAN BE
DONE, IF ANYTHING, ABOUT IT i'LL STICK TO MY VANITY AND WORK ON THE FLIP--NO LONGER CALLED A BRIDGE :o)--AND HOPE IT IS READY FOR ME TO EAT NEXT WEEK. 2 months ago I woke up to a big lump in my neck on the right side while
the one on the left was a little swollen--I took some amoxicillin for a few days and the lump went down but still was obvious on both
sides, they hurt only when I touched them--I called my doctor and went
to see him at the end of May--2 weeks later I went for a cat scan and
then last Wednesday for a contrast cat scan.

Of course I did a stupid thing and googled swollen neck and a few other things--seems the choices were dental
infection (sounded reasonable with all the problems I have been having
with my teeth lately) or throat infection or cancer--now I ask you what
do you think I zeroed in on???? Right!

Due
to it being July 3rd I knew my doc wouldn't get the results until
Monday--meanwhile I have that whole dental thing going. Not hearing from
him today I called him and the receptionist told me he didn't get the report--he called me an hour ago and gave me the results.

All I got out of it was that I may have hypothyroidism and I immediately responded to him "That's why I have been having trouble with my weight!" and he said, "I didn't say that." I think I will fire
him--anyway following are some of the things I remembered:

I need to have 2 MRIs done---1 regular and 1 contrasting--plus an ultra sound. I can handle
the latter but (since the aorta valve operation for some reason I have
been extremely claustrophobic) no way I can handle the MRIs --I even bolted from a stand up one--he said I should take 2 milligrams of Lorazapam the day I have them and they should work.

also mentioned a growth on/in(?) a vein in my brain--along with
something about the carotid artery and a bulb--then he threw in the
thyroid bit--there were a couple of other things he mentioned and I told
him to talk English, not medicalnese !

The MRIs have been set for Thursday, July 18--I didn't realize until I got home that it is the same day as I have to be at the dentist but it will all work out at the MRIs (if I can do them LOL) are at 12:15 and the dentist is at 3 PM--might even have time to get a bite at Cafe Vico!! (Always thinking, always thinking.)

don't think he would over the phone or in any case I got the feeling he
wouldn't say anything until he gets the results.

Okay,
since my thyroid might be the reason of my weight gain (my conclusion,
not his) and since my bridge isn't fixed I guess I will just have to
have some smooth ice cream--no butter almond or rocky road or anything
that I might 'crunch' into.

news or bad news, preferably the former, I will let you know in about a
week or so--plus hopefully the whole bridge thing will be straightened

Just wanted to let you know what was happening.
By the way we did go to Cafe Vico today--Allen had the lasagna and loved it--I had the angel hair pasta
with marinara sauce and was able to eat it without any problem and it
was good--I wasn't able to eat the Italian bread dipped in their great
garlic and oil with spices mix--hopefully next week!
