What Happened to the Sun and Other Topics

5:30 pm and the sun is gone---I WANT MY SUN BACK!!!!

It's that time of the year--the manatees are coming back for the warm waters os South Florida. At the west end of the canal outside my window are their
breeding grounds and it won't be long before we see mother and calf
swimming along--this year I will try to get a picture.

It
was a battle and took a lot of time but after getting my Internet bill
and seeing the price doubled I called AT&T and after an hour and
forty minutes got it reduced $20

I
came across this quote the other day and it has stayed with me; "The
older you get the more you are drawn to your past." Though I live in the
present and deal with every day as it comes I do agree tat I am drawn
to the past either by a memory being triggered by a sight or sound or
aroma or comparing what is with what was.

After living here 14 years I found out this past Saturday we have an ice machine on the premises!!!

As
I walked around today I was amazed, as I always am, at how lucky I was
to have found Gateway and be living here--we have all kinds of plants,
trees, bushes not to forget creatures like Iguanas walking along and all
I have to do is look over the fence into the canal and see a school of
fish. I am going to take a picture of them tomorrow if I can get my
camera to do it.

I mentioned (my mistake) to one of the residents that I have to go for one uultrasound
on Monday and another on Tuesday which lead to a conversation of PAD
(which I have) that could have lasted forever if I didn't end it quickly
.  One thing you learn living with 299 senior citizens is that you have 299 doctors who know what ails you and what can cure you!

Aside
from the fact that the sun went down too early today (and will until
March 9) I don't have a thing to complain about. In fact  Thanksgiving
week I will be going to see the highest priced ticket show on Broadway
that just started their first tour "The Book of Mormon". The tickets
here are so hard to get that ticket agencies are selling them for $400
each!

the sun is an amazing asset. I love it. I like visiting the past, I have
some dynamite memories.

I'm glad I'm not old enough to be drawn to the past. I really have no use for that. Besides, my memory is so bad that most of the past is missing except for the parts that I've rehashed a dozen times. I too will miss the sun. It set over the hill to the west of me before 4pm. Not until mid January will the days seem to get longer.

My past good and bad is teh past and I don't live in it--just visit it once in awhile through diaries, pictures, aromas, stray thoughts, etc.
