We went to the bank where I took out money to buy my lotto tickets (among other things) and then went to 7/11 where I bought the tickets (and, surprise, I didn't win.) After that we stopped at CVS where I got my prescription for simvastatin (my cholesterol medicine which I don't think will be helping this month!!)
I picked up the two alternatives weekly papers, The New Times and City Links for reading later that evening. We went to Office Depot where I picked up 2 ink cartridges and then on to Linen 'n Things where I got a new kitchen mat. After the flood last week I needed one! LOL From there to the Dollar Tree--hey, I was spending money as if I had it!!
After stopping at the post office where I mailed the coins I had sold for John we decided it was time for lunch and off to El Tamarindo Cafe, a new Latin American restaurant that was on the site of five previous restaurants that had failed.
They served a combination of Cuban, Mexican Spanish and El Salvadorian food. As always I made a mistake and ordered too much. We had a mixed appetizer platter that was big enough in itself as a meal for two. And then we had our main course. Allen had a chicken dish and I had skirt steak Milanese with rice and refried beans. We did skip dessert--good for us!
All in all it was a good afternoon and then I came home and got the mail!!!
