(These are a preview of some of the pictures that will be in the Gazette issue)
It
all started Friday when I had to go to the community room to take a
picture of the 'movie night' crowd. I took a picture of the fudge
brownies with chocolate syrup and vanilla ice cream but when I got home
it was blurry so use your imagination . More about this in a minute .
On Tuesday--MORNING 10 AM!!!!-- I attended the Residents Association meeting and
when their 'business' was over I submitted a proposal to come into the
21st century and get a flat panel TV. We have a new store, HHGREGG,
opening here officially on Thursday and they are having specials, lead
losses, like a 32" set for $229 and a 46" set for around $450. I really
wanted to go for a 60" but I thought we would stand a better chance pushing for the 46" one. Got a call today and they are buying it plus a DVD player!!!
I
was back in the community room at 1 PM for the monthly birthday bingo,
played a couple of games, lost and had to leave before the cake and ice
cream was served.
Then this morning--again at 10 AM!!!--the monthly General Assembly meeting was held.
That
is Suzanne in the multi-colored dress talking to the group and there
was a rep from one of the HMO companies giving a pitch for his company.
Aside
from that I was going around taking pictures for the Gazette which here
includes one of the smoking areas and the other at our Country Cupboard . Did you notice food was involved with the 4 events? Give free food and they---the old folks--will come!! LOL
Along
with all that I've been working on the August issue of the Gazette! I
am looking forward to lunch with Allen tomorrow, going food shopping on
Thursday and the real movies on Friday!!! I was asked to go buy the TV
but I know if you give them an inch they want a yard so I had to turn
them down. Unfortunately, for him, they grabbed John to do it! I have
had enough Gateway for this week and will work on finishing the next
Gazette issue over the weekend!
