And What Do You Do for Fun?

ALLEN                                                ME

LINGUINE PESCATADO                                     "THE WORDS"

Allen and I usually go to the movies on Friday and get a bite to eat. I discovered Cafe Vico on my birthday in February though it has been in the neighborhood for a
long time. It has become one of my favorite restaurants and the place
to take visitors--if they pay! LOL

The Outback restaurant is one of the more reliable chains and we
usually go when they are having a special as they are now. They offer a 4
course dinner for $15.
First of all we had one of the best waiters
in a long time--no need to ask for refills on our drinks as they were
always filled. He paced the meal perfectly, he checked either by
observing or asking how we were doing. Be sure to ask for Carlos if he
is available to wait on you.
We started off with a very good hot
potato soup with cheese and bacon followed by a mixed salad with
tomatoes and onions. The main course was a 6 ounce sirloin served with
mashed garlic potatoes and string beans. It was sort of redundant to
have the potatoes and potato soup but both were good. The sirloin wasn't
anything to rave about, being cooked medium instead of medium rare, but
it was okay. The carrot cake was dusted with too much cinnamon but
otherwise was tasty.
Not to overdo but I give it 4 stars because
Carlos is worth a star of his own. There is nothing like an excellent
server to make a meal better!

I'd prefer a larger steak, but otherwise, it sounds good!

That reminds me of the Lloyd's Coach House where I ate that 72 ounce steak and didn't have to pay!!!

We will have to see if the Outback near our house has that special. We really like their sirloin special, even without the soup and dessert.

Ah but Carlos won't be there to wait on you!!!!!

Sounds great.Nice to see Allen there and a good picture of you both.
What we do for fun?not telling you.
For me is to as much as I can playing tennis and to me that is fun.
Mike is retiring at the end of the month and not sure if I told you this.
Talk later and the lunch there looks good and we do not have a picture of Carlo

Dinner looked so yummy. I haven't been to an Outback in ages ... we don't really have one nearby. Do they still have their Victorian Falls chicken or cheesy fries? I was hooked on both of those.

They still have the fries not sure about the chicken--I go maybe 2-3 times a year--usually when they have specials on steak.
