New Foods, New Tastses

I like trying new food items and each month I do just that! I haven't had snails in years and usually it was in a French restaurant where the best part was dipping the bread into the garlic and butter sauce but I made these in a fresh homemade Marinara sauce using fresh garlic. The sauce was delicious but the snails added nothing to the taste. I tried the Torani sugar/calorie free caramel sauce in coffee a few times but I'll stick to Sweet 'n Low or vanilla extract. The cotton candy was a fun treat but one I wouldn't have again while the Tostones was a sharp sort of potato chip. I gave the Kumquats to a neighbor because though I like sweet foods being a pre-diabetic these are too sweet--well, nothing can be too sweet but they can be too high in sugar! You taste any new foods?

Hey, I too was checking out what flavors Torani had for sugar-free, for taking along to family gatherings on the holidays. I'm ordering the peach syrup, to mix with carbonated water to make a peach soda. In a coffeehouse we used to top orange or peach soda with a tiny bit of foamed milk. ... The snails can stay in the store.

I get various flavored extracts in the Dollar Tree.
Snails really are tasteless--they need that garlic!!

Usually any new food I see is on the clearance rack at Walmart so I pass on it. What does vanilla extract do for coffee? Let me ask it another way: Donna uses flavored or 1/1 & 1/2 with Stivia. Would she want to ray vanilla extract?

A drop gives it a taste of French coffee!
