Who did something stupid this week?
This week, we're awarding JotW honors to an entire group of people—namely,
the town council of Fort Myers Beach, which fired the town manager, Scott Janke,
this past Wednesday for no reason but unmitigated, inexplicable prejudice. The
bigotry of the town council is not racism or ageism or sexism … well, actually,
it is sort of sexism, but not in the usual sense of the word. The council fired
Janke solely because he is married to Anabela Mota Janke, better known to
aficionados of MILF porn as Jazella Moore. For those not familiar with Moore's
body of work, she generally stars in a particular genre of porn that revolves
around naughty housewives, promiscuous stepmothers and other porn archetypes
relating to actresses who have outgrown the "barely legal" stage of their
careers. After finding out the secret identity of Janke's wife, the council
called an emergency meeting last Wednesday and promptly fired the man for what
one council member called "the good of their constituency." But we think they're
just jealous; we doubt their spouses are half as hot as Moore, and we also think
that the good voters of Fort Myers Beach should, come next election, fire the
council itself. An America in which a man can't marry a porn star isn't America
at all. And if Missy Stone happens to be reading this, our marriage proposal
still stands.
