Christina Wan's--restaurant Review

It
has been a while since I had Chinese food and came across a Groupon for
this place. I use to eat at their old location on Federal and I ate
here the week they opened this location but haven't been back since as
for some reason, after many years of liking this kind of food, I lost my
taste for it. I have eaten in a few Chinese restaurants in the area
such as P.F.Changs, Jade Palace, Pei Wei, etc., and none were worth a
second visit..
We went in around 3 PM as I like to go to lunch after
the lunch crowd is gone. The place was empty except for 2 servers
sitting at a table snapping beans. We were shown to a booth but they
were very tight so we started to sit at a table. The booths didn't have
tablecloths but the table did and the hostess (owner?) started to take
off the tablecloth and dinner settings when I showed her the coupon
which is restricted to ordering from the dinner menu so she started to
put everything back and I told her that wasn't necessary so she stopped
and replaced the tablecloth with paper place mats which was wrong for so
many reasons.
Allen ordered Egg Drop soup ($2), the Mu Shu Pork
($12) and I ordered the Mu Shu Chicken ($12) which comes with white or
brown rice and we both ordered the brown rice. The pork/chicken is
rolled into crepes with cabbage, mushrooms, eggs and scallions coming to
4 crepes each. The server brought all the ingredients to the table and
made the 4 crepes serving us one while he made the others.I had one of
Allen's pork and he had one on my chicken. We both agreed that they were
very bland without any taste except for the mustard and/or duck sauce
we put on them, that had been served with the fried noodles served at
the beginning.
Nothing wrong with the food but certainly nothing to
bring customers back. With the coupon, after taking $15 off the $32.24
check which included tax and tip, our bill came to $4.68 which was
basically the tip but we added a couple of more dollars so all in all it
cost us $10 each, which is what it would have cost us if we hadn't used
the coupon and just ordered off the lunch menu.
Nothing particularly
wrong with the restaurant, or the food, though the whole table cloth
thing was a turn off and at the same time nothing compelling to bring
people back.

I am a Tiger. I love mu shu pork. I am having Chinese on Friday. We don't get rice with mu shu here.

As I said I found it very bland--is that how it is suppose to be?

For once you didn't make me hungry, although I am reliving my visit to the all-you-can-eat Chinese buffet last Wednesday.... Yeah, Americanized whatever, but it was delicious. I stopped at four plates even tho I wasn't full. Left feeling good! Better luck next time!

What does 'full' mean??? I've heard that word before--also 'moderation'--both sound very strict!!!

Did the paper place mats have the Chinese zodiac on them? We are both Rabbits.
