It being Friday that meant Allen and I would be going to the movies.Due to a 'procedure' I will be having done on Monday I had to go to LabCorp and have some blood drawn. Since the movie started at 1:50 I suggested he pick me up at 12:30 to get there, have
the blood drawn and get to the movie theatre before the movie
started---WRONG!!! I wasn't even called into the room until 2 PM!!
Instead of going to a movie we went out for lunch at Red Lobster. Ihaven't been there for years as it is not one of my favorite places but
I had lobster and shrimp onlinguine which was okay and the biscuits
were as good as ever. For dessert Allen and I shared--yes, shared--a
moist, hot chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream
On Monday I am going to the vascular surgeon who, I think, is going to put a stent in my left leg and a 'balloon' in the right. I will have to get up at 5AM to be ready fro my ride to get me to his office at 9 AM! I am not happy about that! LOL On July 7 I am suppose to get a cleaning of my teeth but the hygienist
asked me to check with the surgeon if 3 weeks after the procedure will
be enough time. It has something to do with germs, infection and too
soon.
I was thinking of getting broadband, or DSL, finally. :O) I checked out Comcast but you have to subscribe to their cable. No way will I give up the cable I have and adding insultto injury, between the broadband and cable I would be spending over $60
a month which I can't afford. Next I went to AT&T for their $10 a
month offer. You have to pay $75 for equipment, you have to sign a year
contract and you don't have the option to cancel in the first 30 days
if you don't like it. Last, but not least, I called Juno about their
$12.95 a month DSL. There was no charge for the equipment but it was not available in my area!!! LOL
It's hard to believe that it is over a year--March, 2008 ?-- since Vladamir posted his last blog after being hounded by some nasty, vulgar people which is a shame because he was a good blogger.
I
went to my primary yesterday and one of the things I discussed with him
was the, to me, unexplainable weight gain. He said I seemed to be
retaining fluid and, consequently, doubled my diuretic which means I don't take one before going out and certainly don't take one before going to the movies! :O)
The doctor also arranged for me to get the shingles vaccine without myhaving to put up any money so now it is just a matter of waiting for
him to call me and say, "Come and get it!" LOL
Just gave the birds their evening treat and am watching a documentaryon/about/with Woody Allen (who I don't particularly care for) and am
waiting for the Bill Maher show to start.
Hopefully it won't rain tomorrow and I can get in some pool time, but,as today showed, the best made plans of mice and men..., don't always
work out.
