Anyone who has been reading my blogs for awhile knows my brother inherited the money gene and I the smile gene. I have always, and will probably always, be bad with money. Quite simply I spend it before I get it.
I have been selling Morgan silver coins for John on eBay and we have been doing quite well. Even though I didn't ask for it he voluntarily offered my a 15% commission--well who am I to hurt his feelings and not accept it??
We got paid for the first two transactions and I went ahead and cashed the money orders, took out the expenses along with my 15%. Now I am debating between getting a new tower, putting the money aside (HA!!) and/or buying a few things I want but don't need--so guess what I did?? Yes, I did!
I bought new speakers for my computer, a couple of new food cups for the birds and two chili pepper mineral perches.
We decided to stop for lunch after I bought my lotto tickets for the week--hey, Deb, I won $2 on mega money last night!!--and, as I sometimes can be thrifty, I had a buy one get one free coupon for Denny's--now I don't object to Denny's but they do have the worst service of any restaurant chains and, surprisingly, this time, except for having to ask my coffee cup refilled it wasn't bad. Allen got a turkey melt with French fries and I got a Philly with hash browns and we shared. Not bad but once a year at Denny's is enough for me--with all the diners we have in town I would rather go to one of them for lunch.
Someone in the complex gave me a birdcage which is a little bigger than the one I have the tiels in so I will fix it up and transfer them into it this weekend and it looks like it will be a busy weekend. Friday is, of course, movie day, Saturday a group of us are going to the Pride Festival and Sunday I want to clean one of the bird cages and get the tiels settled in their new home.
I may have to go back to work--retirement is so tiring!!!
NOT!!!
