It has now been 124 days since I had my aorta valve replacement
surgery and 124 days since I last had a cigarette!!! (So where is all the money
I am suppose to have saved by not smoking?!?!)
I really am amazed how easy, so far, it has been to give up
smoking after 60 years!
I am doing a lot better today than I was even two weeks ago but
still not up to or near par.
I have mentioned that I was suppose to start a new drug called
lexapro but I am going to wait until I speak to my primary on Monday. There are
a couple of questions I have regarding it since the read out that the pharmacist
printed out for me. Also, since things seem to be going a lot better I am
hesitant about taking another and new drug and will talk to him about delaying
it until the first of the year and see if I even need it by then.
I have stopped taking my tranquillizer--lorazapem--during the
day and only take it a 1/2 hour before I am ready to go to sleep at night. I had
been taking 1 and 3/4 mgs but am going to cut back to 1 and 1/2 mgs starting
tonight for a few days and then cut back again.
I have not had any anxiety attacks in the past two weeks and
don't seem as nervous or hyper as I have been.
The two major problems I seem to be having are with my eyes and
right ear though the latter seems to ease off for quite a while before acting up
again.
All in all I am not thrilled with how I feel but must admit to
improvement and still get that edgy feeling and in the afternoon it seems the
energy just goes out of me. Lexapro is suppose to help that but just in the past
2-3 days the energy level seems a little, not much, but a little better
and that's why I want to wait before starting the drug.
And that's how I feel on my 4th anniversary!!!
By the time that Mike and I will be there. You will be fit and ready to go.
Times flying here.I cannot wait to meet you and the rest.
This is smoke out day this month. That is when I quit over thirty years ago
When Mike got his master degree, told him that I will quit smoking.
