The Day After

While most of you were sleeping.
Some of you that had hangover.
The highway was nice and quiet this morning.
First New Years Eve.
Like I said before do not celebrate NYE.
It will be there when I wake up this morning.LOL.
Lovely dinner with my man and dog.
Pizza and salad with wine or water.
Chocolate Cream Pie.
Yes,Martin I do eat sweets time to time.LOL
Watch "Lie To Me"
At ten fell asleep.
Woke up this morning feeling fresh and alert.
Mike made a wonderful breakfast.
Bacon and eggs with organic English Muffin.
After Breakfast we decided to hit the coast of Maine.
The weather is mild and expect to reach to 50
Pack some water,a bit of chocolate and off we went to
York Beach,Maine.
Just a little or less than an hour to get this.
The morning ride to the ocean was great.
Hardly any traffic to and fro.
When we got there and one of our favorite stop is the Light house. Below are a couple of pictures.

Here is a shot of me with the light house behind us.
Look like I am freezing there,but not.
Just feel nice and warm.
Below is a rare picture of Mike.
Surprised that he let me take a shot of him.

Then we headed to the beach,so that we can take Buffy for his walk.
He loves this place.
Lot of sniffing there.LOL.
The place was sort of a mess
Guess the snow storm made a mess of things there.
With the wave splashing up and bringing lot of the rocks on the boardwalk.Just a big mess.
Afternoon quiet.
Baked Stuffed Pork Chop.
Home made applesauce.
Salad.Not sure what the veg.will be.
To you and all of you.
enjoy the rest of the day.

You are so fortunate to live in a place where you can quickly drive to the beach. We in landlocked states have to drive 10 or 12 hours to get even to the Gulf from OKC....about 7 or 8 from Dallas...that's to the Gulf of Mexico. Love both the photos, Fredo. The lighthouse makes such a lovely setting.

Maine is one of 5 states I have yet to visit. Maybe this Fall? Thanks to your suggestion, I made a most delicious cranberry nut bread two days ago. And I used homemade apple sauce as a substitute for vegetable oil. Out of this world! Thanks for the idea. You da bomb!

Ahh..Maine, I am very envious of you Fredo right now. I was working a 12 hr shift due to illness striking most of my co-workers. Will have to an 11hr tonight, even though I am not 100%. But I figure at the 80% I am working at I am still a harder worker then 98% of the people who work there now

Thanks.The pie was given to us by a friend.Who claimed to be low fat.

Maybe.The topping is cool whip.The chocolate is from cocoa and the crust is store bought.But it was so good.As I very seldom eat this or any desserts.

Look it is very easy and not costly.
Take three apples and sliced them,put it in a glass pie plate.
Covered with saran wrap Nuke it for about five min.
Then take it out.smash the apples with a fork till it becomes a sauce.
Springle some cinnamon in it.you may add raisin.
I put no sugar in it.For the apples are sweet enough and do not need it.
Now to go back You need to cored the apples and the skin.
For me I do not peel the skin lazy.When it comes out of the microwave and the skin almost fall off and save some work.
All of this is done within minutes. You do not have all the chemical that they put in store bought apple sauce.You will loved this.
Any problems we can do this step by step togehter if you like.
Try it one time and I know that you will see the difference.

Even though this is called diet cokes.It is filled with sub sugar hidden in this.Should lay off and drink water.This will help you not to gain any weight.
Anything diet is bogus.But that is your call.enjoy.
