Where or When

I loved this photo
Mike did a great job in capturing the image that I loved.
This was taken last year.
Why this photo, something to talk about.
But first. You and I have read many, many blogs.
What are your interest in reading them.
For me.I liked to read Martin movie review and broadway show.
He keeps me informed on many things.
Academy Awards,Globe,People Choice these are my interest.
Of course update on Gay news etc.
All these years of blogging and I felt that the writing was okay, but not great.
Not sure if my grammar is correct.
I do like to write and wished that my writing could come of interest to my bloggers.
Don't be ashamed to correct me,this is the way that I learned.
Anyone watched the "The Chew"I loved this program.
Think that I said this before. You got the message.LOL.
Why do I think of all of this in my later year.
Well the reason that I think is my mind is still young and want to learn more.
Okay!what is holding you back?My hearing for one.
Wished that I had my hearing back to be able to take courses etc.
I know that they are teachers out there who will help you make the way.
So many things that I want to do and not knowing where to go for help.
I loved learning new things.
I have been reading and searching on this IPhone 4 which is supposed to help the hearing impaired to talk and read caption from the phone.
My daughter is going to take me to find out more on this and let the person explained to me how it is operated.
Have seen some on line and very, very impressed with it.
I Know that a lot of people out there are say ugh!fine.
You have your hearing and I don't.
This is a great working tool.
We learned learned that it also help many children in learning.
That is great a wonderful tool.
Not sure if anyone out there has this phone,if you do loved to hear about it.
Thank you for listening to me.
What I really need is a mentor.
Have a great day.

I love you Fredo. Will a hearing aid help?

My younger son, ex football player turned actor, (there's a story) has complete nerve damage in his right ear. He's learned to turn his head over the years and didn't want an implant because of playing football. I'm hoping he'll be able to get one. It's tough living without one of your senses. Great photo.

Chris has no hearing in his right ear. Spinal Meningitis left him with nerve damage on his right side. He's had to compensate for it his entire life. Not easy, but he's been pretty successful at whatever he's chosen to do.

That is the type of damage that .If you get an implant you have to be careful.
They offer this to me and I turned it down. This is mostly for deaf people who has no hearing.
If your son has some hearing then he is better off with this. They also told me if I get the implant you may lose any hearing that you have. This sort of scare me and back off.
This was many, many years ago.Now today I not up to see if they made any advanced on this and I am sure that they have. But at my age now.Why bother.

Great photo of you, Fredo!
I hope you will share what you learn about the iPhone and it's apps for the hearing impaired. I'm familiar with its translation programs from one language to another. Great for travelers. My Dad was hearing impaired late in his life, and was helped by a digital hearing aid. There have been many advances I'm sure since he died in 1996. Best wishes to you! I enjoy your posts very much.

first sorry to hear about your dad.I have a digital hearing aid works for me at times.
My biggest problem is not the aid but the internal in my hearing organ. The hair cells there are damaged and this is what is important in order to get a better clarity. But after all of these years and being depressed at time,I learned to accept the fact that this is it.
Mostly right now I am just experimenting on what to do.My mind changes so fast.
There are so many things our there what to do or what not to do.
The sad part is the person that is working selling the IPhone as most of the do not kow too much about how it function.Just the formality.People eat this up.But not me I have to know why and when we will see.Have a good weekend. We are in a deep freeze for now.

We love you Fredo -- don't stop writing. I have an phone that does things, but I haven't learned what they are. I just make calls. Hopeless.

I understand this.Going to talk to the person next week. Most of these people that sell are not to professional on this and they just give you the basic.I want to know more

Fredo, your blogs are interesting and fun. Don't ever stop because we
missed you when you stopped very badly. We all learn all the time more than
just book knowledge which I am not downgrading but life lessons are also
valuable. Hope the ap on the I phone works for you.

thanks, will see what happens there.I have been hearing some negative feedback on the hearing part.

Great picture, Fredo. I enjoy reading whatever people want to write about, sometimes more, sometimes a little less, but would never intentionally point out to them something like 'this post was not interesting' because that would be my opinion, nothing to do with the quality of the post and others might really like it. I also try to respect my fellow bloggers and not be flip and dismissive in my comments. It's wonderful that you still have an open mind and want to keep learning, and that the iPhone has proved helpful. The day we don't want to learn any more, we might as well pack it in.
comment by troutbend on Jan 12, 2012 1:54 PM ()
thank you.I appreciated this.I loved learning and more.

I love my iphone. I like it mostly for the apps though - and just the overall quickness it usually has. I am excited for you that your daughter is helping you learn more!
