Last night my ex backed out on giving me money towards my daughter's dance trip to NYC. He said he didn't have the money (even though we've all seen his new clothes and have heard of his recent and future-planned trips). But, that's on him and I didn't mention it to my daughter. I was going to take her no matter what we had to do to make up the money when we got home. Well, today the production was cancelled/ postponed due to weather! Therefore she'll never need to know that we didn't have the money and I won't spend months trying to dig ourselves out of a financial whole.
Even better? I planned on being going all weekend so all my school work is done!! Woo Hoo!!
And the friend I mentioned in last nights blog? He continues to amaze me with how much we're alike and how his words and thoughts seem to match mine. We just might...no promises yet...but we just might meet for coffee or something Sat. night while both of our kids are gone. He's five years older than me but I find out today that we graduated from the same high school, had the same English teacher lol. He loves to walk, write poetry, read the same kind of books I do. He cries at sad movies, is best friends with his brother who lives down the street (ironic!) He is Christian and we just seem to mesh. But he's this big, handsome guy who plays hockey too. Don't worry, I'm taking everything slow and he wouldn't have it any other way. Best friends first is what we both want.
