I Think I Got the Job!

I think I got a job! Walmart just called, I go in for an interview tomorrow at 3! I will be a cashier. (oh joy). But hey, its money coming in! sounds like they definitely need for Friday thru sunday plus one other day. Which should work out great. I am kind of excited!
Called hubby and told him, he is happy. Maybe we can afford to buy food now. LOL

COOL!!! This is great Mare!! I got your phone message!! I will give you a call later!! I just had a good feeling about this!! I wish that I could go back to working in retail I miss it but, my leg and foot can't take all of that standing unfortunately!! I enjoyed it for the most part when I worked for them. Just remember especially with the back to school rush and of course when Christmas time comes around to not get rattled by long lines of people in your line. What I would do there and when I worked in the craft store is tell myself to just focus on each person like they were the *only one in line*. That helped me a lot!! At first when I looked up and saw like 20 people in each line including mine I wanted to panic. Then, I thought, no, just focus on each one. And believe me Wal-Mart and the Craft Store I worked for would have so many people in there during back to school and Christmas they had security to maintain over-crowding (fire codes) and all. You will do fine and YES you will enjoy the social interaction with other adults. I went back to work when Nathan was in Kindergarten and worked until his 4th grade year.

Love ya,
Jenn

This is good news. Jobs and money are a necessity and a prerequisite to putting food on the table. JR is having a struggle with gas prices so high and I'm finding I have to be much more conservative in my shopping. I haven't gone to the day old bread store yet... but that could be my next stop. Anyhow... I'm happy for you. Annie :o)

You shouldn't be at all nervous now, interviews are easier than walking onto a dojo. You know that...and since you've already done that you can accomplish anything. Remember why I titled my blog: Difficulties Mastered are Opportunities Won... I wrote that for you when you were nervous about joing the Tae kwon do. Take a breath and conquer them all

I'm glad Mary, I have this feeling that once you're in there you will like the extra social interaction it gives you and it's the kind of job where you punch out to go home, and leave the job stress behind

Well at least you get 10 percent off on the products there.
You will meet all kind of people there.
Good luck with the job.
