My Personality

I find it very hard to be mean to people. Even those who deserve it. Yesterday I went to the grocery store and ran into my old neighbor. The one who reported us to county code enforcement so they could sell their house. She is so fake and phony! She asked how everyone was doing and commented how big kota is getting. Then she asked how our new neighbors are. Without thinking I told her we couldn't ask for nicer neighbors and I hang out with her all the time. The whole time we are talking she is looking me up and down. UGH! Why couldn't I just ignore her and go on!
I am thinking of signing up for Tae Kwan Do. the hard part will be actually being in a class and having people watch me. Yes I am insecure. lol I know it would be alot of fun and great exercise and its half price for me to join as part of a family plan.
We visited the inlaws yesterday so kota could play with his best friend Ashanti. We talked about our upcoming trip to Michigan. Hubby, Kota and I will be sleeping in a tent. Mother in law let me know there were also be other relatives camping out with us. She said we might not get much sleep. It sounds like they are really fun people. We are going to drive in one day, about 12 hours but we have 4 drivers to take turns. I am looking at getting a portable DVD player for kota to watch movies on the trip. I saw one for $30 so really not expensive at all!
Speaking of movies, we watched The Bucket List last night. Excellant movie. Of course I cried at the end. Kota said I am not allowed to watch it again. But I told him it was ok, they were happy tears. Just an amazing movie with two of my favorite actors.
Its friday which means the sleepover at moms. I will have to pick up some good snacks for us. Last week I totally pigged out on junk food! I didn't sleep well last night so I am really going to need lots of caffeine today. and its already hot out! yuck!
enjoy your day!

Don't worry about the ex neighbor. Better than to deal with her than be her right?

I think it was funny what you said to your old neighbors about your new neighbors. I bet you will enjoy the class. Hope you are enjoying your stay over at your Mom's.

Congrats for taking the high road and being polite to your ex-neighbor. No point in sinking to her level. Your trip sound like a blast. When do you leave? Say "Hi" and wave to me in Toledo as your drive through. Hope you take that class, too. Cool! Have a great weekend!

The Bucket List is wonderful! How could it NOT be with Morgan Freeman and Jack Nicholson in it? Best line in the movie - "Tommy, nobody gives a #### what you think." I also cried my eyes out at the end.

Good for you being the bigger person with your nasty ol' neighbour. Even if it eats you up... you unknowingly put her in her place. I haven't seen the Bucket List yet, but definitely want to. That's so cute that Kota is looking out for his mom by telling you that you can't watch it again. How sweet.

The hardest test you'll ever have in any sort of Martial arts is finding the courage and overcome your fear of walking into the dojo. Your sensei will agree with me there. You'll be fine. Just do it.

I can't wait for vacation either. I need a break big time. Don't let your old neighbor get to you..you're doing fine...let her stew in her own juices.. It's hot here too...upper 90's today...but weather guys say we may get rain this afternoon.

yeah it's GROSS out... stay inside with the AC on!
Your old neighbor was a piece of work. Bleh.
I am insecure as well and I HATED doing the kata's from Karate in front of people... BUT once ya get through it you will feel better about yourself! Go for it! Ya only live once...
Michigan sounds FUN! And so does hanging out with your mom tonight.
HAPPY FRIDAY!
