Well the ultrasound came back clean, no abnormalities. Which is a good thing. Today I went for a CT scan. That wasn't bad at all, took about 10 minutes. I wasn't particularly fond of the goop I had to drink before I went in even if it was banana flavored. The technician was super nice and explained everything in detail. Including how I would feel when they injected me with the contrast dye. And yes, it sure felt like I peed myself. Although I want good results from this test as well, I hope they find something to fix! As I was getting ready to write this post, my doctor's office called. From one of the urine tests it showed I have an infection, UTI. So she called in an antibiotic prescription for me. She also said, this might have nothing to do with the pain I have as the pain is not in the right area for a urinary tract infection. The doc should have the results from the CT scan by Monday. I don't have to go in to see her, they can call me with the results.
Work has been great about my having these appointments. But then I also keep my work caught up even when I miss a day or half day.
Monday night was really bad for me. I had forgotten to take a pain pill in the morning and I also forget to take them with me to work. I had my doc appt that afternoon. By the time I got home I was in such pain. I went to bed early even though I knew I wouldn't sleep. I was very depressed and just wanted the pain to stop. People can't understand the pain you are because they don't see a reason for the pain, such as a broken leg or whatever. So sometimes I get really mad at family members for not being more sympathetic. My daughter in law said it would be great if people could feel your pain even for a short time.
We had a doozy of a storm last night. The thunder was so loud and very scary. When I got up this morning my stepson showed me that our neighbors big pine tree was hit by lighting, and huge pieces of it were blown into our yard! Dakota went out later to help the neighbor gather up the pieces.
