Heaven Has Another Angel

Her name was Gloria..and she wasn't known by a lot of people apart from the folks in my neck of the woods. But heaven has another angel today. She was one of the sweetest ladies you could meet.

She passed away Saturday from Pancreatic cancer. She fought long and hard..for over a year and a half...she never gave up hope...but lost the struggle saturday morning.

She was a co-worker...and I'm proud to say a friend. Even in her darkest days she gave others hope. Always had a smile. When you would ask her how she was feeling...she would always answer "just fine"...and then would ask about you or your family. She would send me scriptures when we had to put mom in the nursing home.

She isn't hurting anymore...but keep her family in your prayers or thoughts today. It's going to be a hard day for them....esp her mom..this is the second child she has buried in a span of two years.

I'm leaving work at 10:30 today to pay my respects...

I will keep her in my prayers. Hardest thing I ever had to do was tell my mom my brother and her son was gone. So hard for a parent to lose one child--much less two. What a sad story, but this woman obviously had her eye on heaven. She is in the bosom of God right now. That has to be a wonderful comfort in itself.
