Yesterday was awful…just plan awful.     People coming out of the woodwork, kids everywhere…phone ringing off the wall.  It was nuts.    In the middle of all the chaos one of the moms’s decided to have a picnic in the middle of my lobby.    I’ve got people standing everywhere and she decides to pull every chair to the table and have a little picnic for her kids.   I understand that she was trying to keep them in one place and keep them quiet, which I appreciated..  But the middle of a lobby full of people is not the place to do this.  

I opened up our conference room and told her she could move them in there..so they could have more room.     She did…I felt for her…she has 3…all under the age of 2.    Her sister was with her and she had 2 also…one barely walking, and the other 2 months old.    It got just a little nuts when the kids decided to start running up and down the hall playing tag.   I think I scared the little girl when I walked down the hall to check on some testers in my lab,  and she took off at a dead run and fell down.    This set off a chain reaction of crying from all the kids.   The noise level went up about 12 octaves.     Poor folks testing I know was having a hard time concentrating.      

We also had several ladies who had other issues.   One who loves to scream when she’s talking to you…she isn’t hard of hearing that I know of…but being in a room with her for more than a few minutes can have your head throbbing.   She got a little frazzled when she locked her car with her dog in it, not sure why she decided to bring her dog when she knew she was going to be here for awhile…but that’s how she rolls apparently.   Another who wantseverythingmyway  is just a royal pain in the ass.     She can raise my blood pressure faster than anybody else I know.    She has an attitude and she knows how to use it.     I’m thinking I need to read my Melody Beatty book on meditation more on patience…cuz she sure makes me loose mine.    Which I hate, it just ruins my day.      So today I’m practicing more on that -  trying not to let things get to me even if I have Dr. Strangelove talking to himself in my lobby and knocking his fist against his head.   Nope not gonna let it bother me…
