Trying Hard.

It is impossible to stay totally isolated. We had to pick up a family treasure yesterday, a flow blue vase that was one of a pair yesterday and it seemed very rude not to visit a bit with my sister in law and brother in law. Today, I cannot give up having Tina help me clean, so that is one more breach in the dam of total isolation. My sister sent us masks that she made and we were very glad to have them. I could probably make some but I would have to use hair elastics and they would be very uncomfortable and tight. Today is Adrienne's birthday and I really want to see her and give her a gift but we will meet outside. I plan to give her a graduation check also since she will need it to get settled and Ashley will need hers for the start of college. Adrienne's job begins in January in Wisconsin of all places. Ugh! the summers will be nice but the winters I hardly dare think about. I was hoping she would apply somewhere in the Southwest. If it were me, I would try to find something in Hawaii. I worry constantly about our Laura in New York City but I know that she is taking precautions. Be as safe as you can.

I have a dear friend who is helping me by delivering groceries. How we love to visit with each other and spend time together in normal times. But we all must be extra careful and caring for each other these days.

I think we are less likely to get the virus if we stay outside.

Please don't let your consideration for the social niceties compromise your health. Family should understand, they should be on your page, if you meet, you should all be wearing masks and gloves.

My sister sent us masks and we have abox of l00 gloves so that is pretty easy to do. We are trying to strengthen our immune systems too with vitamins, especially c.

I am fuzzy on the where but starting in January, it is going to be hard to adapt. I guess the summer will make up for it. I went over and risked it to give them, (ashley graduates from highschool) graduation gifts and som pearls I had for both of them.

If you want a comedic feel for what it's like to live in Wisconsin, watch those Charlie Behrens "Manitowoc Minute" segments on YouTube. Hilarious.

We will need some humor! It is lovely in summer. Ted and I spent several days at Lake Geneva a couple of years ago.

This morning I received a reminder for an appointment with the sleep doc next week. The sleep department is in a hospital and I really don't want to go although I'd do telemedicine. Donna didn't even want me to give blood last week but the red cross needs it. But overall I've been too careful to cave now.

If you feel like No, don't go! I thought the risk was not worth the assurance that all was well because I have been good about my medicine.
The coagulation specialist is a woman with a pharmacy degree and I like her a lot.

Oh where in WI? I have a bunch of family there.
Hang in there, it’s hard but I’m thankful daily that we have a nice space to stay put in.
Hang in there!
