Ted was measured for a power chair yesterday. It should make
him more mobile. It will go ten hours without a charge and
give him the ability to shop and go places as soon as we
get a lift so it can go in the car.
I have been reflecting on the life we have had and our lives
now. I came across a snapshot of Ted, taken at the lake when
we were first married. Adrienne said it best, "Papa Ted was
hot!" He really was a handsome man, tall and slim with long
legs and lots of hair. Alas, time changes us all. I am very
grateful for the good times.
Ted has taken his physical changes with a lot more grace than
I could have done.
Bobby will never be able to go back to work full time but
through his connections in the world of criminal justice, he
can work part time for a job in forensic computers and teach
part time. The chemo was devastating.
I derive a lot of joy from Bobby's girls. They are fun and
I like seeing them grow and develop into young ladies.
The differences between them are astounding. My other
grandchildren are all grown up now but I still get hugs and
kisses from these two. It gladdens my heart.
