Post Hurricane

We are getting a drop in temperatures and a blustering wind this far inland. I hope we get more rain than we have gotten. It has drizzled all day.

Betty and I went to lunch at Red Lobster and I had shrimp scampi which was very good. I got home about three and Rex ran to greet me. He was ready for his dinner and Ted wanted to eat early too. I made a big pot of potato soup and we ate while we watched the news.

I'll bet that Joan blogged about our new basketball team the Oklahoma Thunder, or it might be the Oklahoma City Thunder. I am less thrilled than I should be. OU football is my main interest. I am a loyal fan when they are winning but get discouraged when they blow it.

Goodnight to all. Jeri

Goodness, the weather all over is so bad! When will this end? I guess it's just beginning. Hope things calm down, though. You have the sweetest dog!!

We'll be getting the remnants of Hanna on Saturday and we can also use rain. We're 6 inches above average for the year, but below average for August.

We'll be getting the remains of Gustave up here with rain tomorrow and they're saying 1 to 3 inches. It's been dry all summer which relieves of cutting the grass. We'll see what happens with the next one....
