Years ago, l3 as a matter of fact, I received two fifty
savings bonds as a gift. I wanted to give them to Ashley
because she needs to save for college in the event she
doesn't get a scholarship. She is the youngest grandaughter I have. The treasury dept said they have
gone paperless and they would no longer be issued as paper.
Well, guess what! They sent ten pages of forms to fill out
instead of letting me just endorse them and give them to her. How does that save paper? Since they only pay very
little interest, it hardly seems worthwhile to reissue
them and go through all the paper work but then the government always boggles my mind.
We are enjoying Jose. He is very loving and his ways are
really hilarious. Rex seems to love him too and they play
together. Rex is acting much younger and enjoys having
a companion when we are gone.
Saturday was September Fest and some of the streets were
closed and all sorts of things were going on at the history center. You could spend all day there so Ted
and I are going this week. I bought a print for myself
and my sister by White Buffalo and could have scored some
beautiful baskets if time was not an issue.
