What We Need

We need some one entirely new on the political scene without
a lot of political debts to pay I have been hearing roars from Joe Biden, Hilary Clinton and Jeb Bush.

We need someone who can pull this divided country together
again. Much as I admire Joe Biden, he is too old. Hilary
Clinton was exhausted as Secretary of State and I do not
wish to contribute to the Bush dynasty. Never have we
needed a Young Lochinvar so badly.

Our country is sick. All these deranged people shooting
strangers is proof of that. There needs to be a national
healing. One of the problems is sociological. There is
a huge gap between the rich and the poor. Wealth is not
creating jobs and technology is eliminating unskilled
labor.

We are sick of war. Diplomacy is going to have to solve
these international problems or we are all going to be
blown off the face of the earth.

I am an incurable optimist and my hope is for a better,
more peaceful world for my grandchildren. Surely we can
learn from past mistakes.

There are small, beginnings of events that are encouraging. For instance, we are not at war with Syria yet due to the pretty much blanket opposition the public feels about that. And I don't think we will be striking there in the near future, either. (Hope I stay correct about that.)

I am encouraged and am rejoicing that we will not intervene in the Syrian
crisis.

I am with you, Jeri! We need someone new- and compassionate! No one in the Tea Party fills that bill. We need politicians like Will McAvoy from Newsroom. When challenged in the season finale he said this:
Do you call yourself a Republican so you can make a claim to credibility when you attack the GOP?
He responds thusly:
No, I call myself a Republican because I am one.
I believe in market solutions and common sense realities and the necessity to defend ourselves against a dangerous world and that’s about it.
The problem is now I have to be homophobic.
I have to count the number to times people go to church.
I have to deny facts and think scientific research is a long con.
I have to think poor people are getting a sweet ride.
And I have to have such a stunning inferiority complex that I fear education and intellect…in the 21st century.
But most of all, the biggest new requirement, really the only requirement is that I have to hate Democrats.
And I have to hate Chris Christie for not spitting on the president when he got off of Air Force One.

The two-party system is crucial to the whole operation. There is honor in being the loyal opposition. And I’m a Republican for the same reasons you are.

I think McAvoy speaks for many Americans. I'm not sure I could call myself a Republican, but if they were acting like the dignitaries they are supposed to be, I'm sure I wouldn't constantly be dealing with "outrage fatigue."

I guess you could call me a Yellow Dog Democrat but compromise is needed now. Someone asked me how I felt about Obama Care and I
told them it was wonderful for us. Bobby's chemo is over fourteen thousand a pop and with the affordable Health Care act, the insurance
company cannot put a cap on it. The law of averages will take care of
the insurance companies. For instance, I go to the doctor once a year

Kevin, we need to get rid of those powerful lobbys and set a real limit
on political spending. It won't be done because there is too much graft
and corruption in our government.

We have a new leader here, but he has not got the power in the senate , our preference system has given the power there to two parties that only got 4 percent of the vote each.
Both are totally without political experience, the senate had a metre long voting slip where you had to mark up or below the line , the top line gave the party names under were the candidates. the first two party names from the left were the 2 that got elected, what is known here as the donkey vote happened
