Mike is Cooking

Tonight Mike is cooking dinner. A butternut squash and
sausage dish is on the menu accompanied by Italian sausage.
The question being, Is my southern and south of the border
cooking getting to them?

Rain is immanent so we aren't doing much today. Fredo and
Ted are messing with a laptop and getting frustrated.

Yesterday, we went to the Oklahoma City Museum of art and
tomorrow if it is pretty, we will attempt to go to the zoo.

Someone will blog and keep you up to date.

Can't argue with a variety of food. It will be months before we have butternut squash around here, so enjoy it while you can. Maybe Mike needs to post the recipe: I usually make it with brown sugar and Cinnamon/nutmeg dissolved in butter and backed over sliced squash. But sausage in the mix sounds really good! As for visiting zoos, I'll keep my comment to myself, although I do hope that it's at least a very large zoo with few prisoners.

The zoo has a large natural habitat and the elephants have about 4 acres
with lots of water and water falls. The big cats are in bamboo jungles.

I'm sure it's not a reflection on your southern/tex-mex dishes: since you can't come to their house, Mike is bringing some of that experience to you via his cooking.

I'm getting so tired of having to think of what to cook for meals around here. We are on the precipice of canned soup, and one foot on a banana peel.

Mike is a great cook and I will turn the kitchen back over to him on Friday
night. We are going to eat out on Saturday night.
