We celebrated the fourth on Saturday with a picnic which also served as the Hinkle family reunion. Ted's five
brothers were there and some of my SIL's relatives. David and Nova have a lovely home in the country. There were
about fifty of us and a ton of food. Ted's youngest brother spent a fortune on fire works, to me it is a huge waste of money but the little kids enjoyed it.
On Sunday, my daughter,Linda and my grand daughter and her
family and Ellie came here for the day. Sara has two children and the youngest,Chandler is an enchanting child.
She even managed to suck Ted into her pretend play. She
invented a train trip with tickets and a tea party. I
think she is going to be another one of our ultra smart kids.
Adrienne left for Rome on Sunday morning for her international studies. She won't have to work hard because it is a general education class. She told me what herclasses were for the fall semester and they were physics, differential equations, computers in engineering and I forgotten the fourth one but it sounds awful to me
Yesterday it just felt good to rest and relax. We watched four episodes of Middlemarch and loved it.
We have had lots of rain and this is unusual for our parched state. I have ripe tomatoes from my tiny garden,
but no squash yet.
Have a happy fourth!
