Happenings.

Friday, I took my grand daughters shopping and out to lunch.
It was a blast. They headed right to the sales racks and
looked for school clothes. I asked them to pick out some
things for Ellie who had gone to the Dr. with Bobby. They
did a great job and she was happy...she needed school clothes
too. We went to Steak and Shake for lunch and as we all
slurped our shakes, I said, "You realize that this is a sin,
don't you. Adrienne said that she didn't care. Ellie has
been on the healthy eating track and Adrienne has lost l5
pounds. She looks great and will soon be marching it off in
band since she is a section leader...going back on the 28th.

Then last night Ted and I went to a Golden Wedding celebration
for friends. There must have been at least l00 people there.
We had fun and met a lot of nice people. We sat with a group
from my Antique club. It makes me want to have a party
when it gets cooler. We are roasting today, it must be
l00 degrees or more.

I feel virtuous since I cleaned out my closet this afternoon
Sometimes virtue is hard won.

A great day! I've been following the weather and it seems like Oklahoma is either roasting in heat or deluged with flooding rains.

So true, although much of the time we have tornadoes as well and now earth
quakes from all the oil drilling. I read a book about Oklahoma pioneers
and the weather must have been more extreme back then.

Glad you are having some warm and happy time with your family.

I have missed seeing the girls every day. It is fun shopping with them
and taking them to an otherwise off limits place to eat. Their parents are
vigilant about their diets.

Come fall, when I am here alone, on those nights I can't sleep, I'll get up and organize the drawers and closet - definitely a good feeling. Soon, I need to get a box and go around the house gathering up things that aren't in their proper place. I haven't decided what to do with all my flood recovery notes.

I found some pants hangers that hold four pair of pants and are slightly
sticky so the pants can't slide off. I also got some padded hangers. I need
to go back and get more. My aunt had crocheted around some hangers for me
years ago to make them padded and they are about to bite the dust.
