Jose found a mouse in the living room, prone and dead but I cannot rest easy until I find how it got in the house. I scream involuntarily when I see a mouse or a rat and hate hate hate them!
I read a memoir of Donald Hall, the poet called Carnival of Losses and it was very good and resonated with me since I am entering the nintieth decade soon. What most of us have, mobility, he has lost and spent his last royalty check on a new rollater. That is indeed a dreary thought. He lost his much younger wife twenty years ago. She was his student and became a poet of renown also.
One thing about senior status is that it is almost all about comfort.
Do you remember when Calvin Klien brought out the ladies version of men's tighty whities? They were the most comfortable panties I have ever worn and evidently they are no longer to be found. If you know where, please direct me there.
This may be the last time I will post on this site so let me tell my friends that I will see you at my blogger. I have loved mybloggers and all the friends ranking it close behind my daughter, Ted and Jose and my grandchildren and greats.
I am grateful for having had a good life if not a spectacular one.
Even though I had to live long enough to see my son die, I am grateful for having had such a wonderful child. He was so smart and articulate. I regret that neither of us went to law school That was probably the profession we were most suited for. I will love him always and think of him every day. His oldest daughter is a junior at O.U. in Chemical Engineering and Ashley is a junior in highschool. He was so proud of those girls.
