A Dozen Roses, Pet Skunks and Ben Carson

I hosted Investment club last Wednesday and had a birthday luncheon for two of my friends with August birthdays yesterday so have been pretty busy. Nine of us gathered to celebrate Hazel and Ramona's birthday. Ramona did not get to come since she was ill so we took a lot of pictures for her and all signed her birthday card and sent her presents home with Phyllis. I was surprised with a hostess gift of a dozen apricot roses and a flow blue saucer to add to my collection.
Ted ate with us but opted for TV instead of visiting with us..

This morning I was dreaming about having a pet skunk and was awakened by Jose squirming and cuddling and kissing me. I guess that must have conjured up the image of a skunk. God only knows a pet skunk is the last thing we need.

Ted has a medical appointment tomorrow for pain management and I have one today with the cardiologist. Then Jose gets his teeth cleaned next week. I just hate this sort of thing where we do the endless waiting game. Ted's doctor is the worst. One day we went in early and every chair in the waiting room was occupied and the doctor was doing emergency surgery. I just had an awful thought...What if Ben Carson was your cardiologist?

Your health has been remarkable Kevin. wish we had the kind of health care that you do in Australia.

Did you see the pic of my albino skunk on fb? Not exactly a pet, we all get along so it's cool. First time I saw him (her? I'm not going there) he looked like a white trash bag in the ditch--until he came out. Living in the country is wonderful!

No, I would love to see him. Post the picture here. There is nothing like the peace that living in the country provides.

I have to admit that Jose looks a little like a skunk without the stripe or the tail.

After all these years and with so much technology available, no one should have to sit more than 10 minutes in a waiting room. It's just a simple lack of concern for the patient's time. Good luck and good reports.

There is always a long wait for my internist. I just schedule for it. If I have a 1 p.m. I don't leave till 3:30 or 4:00. It is what it is. He's a good doctor.

But we always seem to have to wait and wait. I know that emergencies come up but it is no fun at all even with good magazines which is rare.
