Mike and Fredo left yesterday morning. We were shut in because of a hard rain all day Wednesday but spent the rest of the time at museums and art galleries. We took them to
the local artist galleries on the Paseo and I got tickled at Mike who said he could now understand the term, starving artist. Some of the art was really bad. One poor girl and her cat hosted some of the most dreadful abstracts that I
have ever seen, and I am drawn to abstracts. However, the pottery shop was our favorite and we saw many things that would have gone home with us if money were not in question.
I did buy a pretty flower holder shaped like petals in a green glaze. Ted and I took two pottery classes some years ago and the glazes have improved a lot.
We noticed the last time we were in Santa Fe that there are a lot of artists using sort of a technicolor touch on their paintings. I like it and there was a buffalo that I really wanted painted in that style. Explain this to me Jon because I really would like to know when it started.
Fredo is still so much fun and Mike still helps me a lot.
He cooked a fabulous dinner Wed. night with cheese, artichokes and wild rice in a garlic sauce. Mike also helped me move my hydrangeas so they would be warmer this winter.
