When Fredo and Mike visited us they brought real, New
Hampshire maple syrup with them. We immediately became
addicted to it and sun doesn't shine if we don't have waffles
and that syrup once a week.
Today, they sent me a birthday gift and it was a quart of
maple syrup from their very own trees. I can't tell you
how much we prize it.
It has been lovely here, in the seventies and very little
wind. It motivated me to paint porch furniture and work out
in the back yard. I can barely crawl but I got a lot done.
Adrienne helped me move it back and forth.
Adrienne is off to Memphis for her band trip tomorrow. I
sure hope she has a really good time. It is a 3 day trip
and their itinerary is packed . They leave at 4:30 a. m.
and plan to be there by noon.
I put some ferns and tropical plants out but I can snatch
them off the porch if it gets cold again. Next step,
more dirt to fill Rex's giant holes. When the ground warms
just a little more, the squash goes in.
I was able to collapse on a clean porch and drink a beer
and listen to the Platters. They were singing The Great
Pretender when I was seventeen and it brings back memories.
And your loving the song on the radio made me think of this video:
