Christmas Cards
Christmas Cards
So far this year, I have received two. One from Rosalyn and Jimmy Carter and one from a retired teacher friend that I used to work
with. Her Christmas letter was enclosed and I enjoyed it. I no
longer send cards but remember when the list and the stamps were all part of the season. It was a nice custom but the increasing cost of postage sort of ruled it out and we keep up with each other on facebook.
I have one more luncheon to attend and one more feast to prepare and then unless someone has another party,I am done with Christmas. I do have to find something for my youngest great grandchild but other than that my shopping is done. Internet shopping is wonderful!!
Neiman Marcus Last Call is my favorite for nice gifts on a budget.
I will miss my grandchild who is in New York. She plans to come home for four days and I am hoping for a part of one of them. She can't miss more than four days during the holiday season. So far, she has done a little work dressing people for movies but has to depend on bar tending for a regular income. It is ungodly expensive to live there as Teal has often pointed out.
December should be a month of peace and calm, parties and festive times and love and caring. I wish it for all of you.
