I am blessed with doggy love from Jose and while we were walking at six thirty this morning, I realized how much pleasure I receive from walking him in the cool, shady early morning hours. It is the best
time of day for me. Armed with a cup of coffee, we stroll liesurely through the neighborhood. There are always a few people out watering their plants and chatting.
The political situation keeps me on edge and in addition to that we are being sued for a fender bender that Ted had. He was only going about three miles an hour but the person he hit
is claiming deadly injury. Our car didn't even have a dent in it. We are both extremely stressed over the situation.
My little vegetable garden is also a source of contentment. I have th ree four by four plots containing tomatoes, squash and okra. Next year, I want another for lettuce and spinach. The crepe myrtles are beautiful as is the Rose of Sharon plant. No matter how hot it gets, we can always count on these hardy standbys to provide blooms.
Oklahoma voted for medical marijuana much to my delight and surprise. We could all use the pain relief all though it is too late for my Dad and my son.
The fourth of July is coming up and we have no plans to celebrate.
I am going to smoke a pork loin and serve it with barbecue sauce for any one who chooses to drop by. We might go to the park and watch the fire works that night.
Happy Fourth to all of you.
