Ted has been trying to get all of his medals and ribbons on his Marine Corp dress blues that he wants to leave Bobby. It has been an ordeal requiring two Congressmen, the Marine Corp and the Department of the Navy. No, he didn't get the medals just an attachment to his DD214 saying that he was entitled to them. He finally ordered them at the cost of well over one hundred dollars from an internet firm. He did not get his Purple Heart because although he was wounded twice by shrapnel, the M.D. in charge did not report it. He just treated it and sent him back.

Frankly, I think this sucks and I hope Desert Storm Vets and the men in Iraq are able to obtain adequate records when they want them.

I realize that this was all 49 years ago, but it order to correct his DD214 that is on file at the court house in Oklahoma City, it will require a time consuming trip downtown where there is little parking.

Sometimes I wonder how people can be totally inefficient. Now about jondude, Rex woke me up at four a. m. to go outside and when I went back to sleep I had the silliest dream. I dreamed that I was at a train station where jondude was picking up two cats. I was urging him to take one of the black ones but he insisted on taking two of the tiger striped ones because he wanted a matched pair. I wonder what Freud would have to say about that.
