I'm going to try the can opening when I get back to Colorado using a rock. During the flood I realized I don't have a camping stove or any way to heat up food aside from trying to build a fire or start up some charcoal, and what if I'd had to evacuate up the mountain and forget a can opener. When I was living in the motel I didn't have a can opener so looked for vegetables and stuff in pull-top cans; discovered there were fewer of those than I'd expected.
