Liar Tweets, and Laundry

Ran across the song The Liar Tweets Tonight, a retweet in Jim Carrey's feed: Twitter.com/JimCarrey and I found myself listening to it 3 times in a row. Made me feel better, all the people singing it at once like that. Then, of course, I went to YouTube and listened to Roy Zimmerman singing Old Man Fibber, about Mitch McConnell.

I go to wash clothes only at very off-hours to try to avoid more than 1 or 2 people there. This morning (4:30am) the 3 stooges were again asleep on the tables in the laundromat. This time I was kind of mad — the virus crisis is not getting better, and since being sick myself I’m not willing to take unnecessary risks. In my state, any essential business (a laundromat is one) means you have to wear a mask when you go in. They can deny you entry without one.

So these jokers were again using the laundromat as their hotel room, and no masks or gloves in sight; and they had their dirty shoes all over the tables too. I snapped at them, telling them they shouldn’t be there, then left and went to the other laundromat in town, which luckily is also 24 hours.
A sign on the door says you better be wearing a mask; you’re on camera.

So I did the laundry there although I don’t like these machines, and they’re more expensive.

Sorry you have to jump through hoops to get your laundry done safely. When I was a kid, our lower hallway was always full of drunks sleeping it off. I didn't begrudge them. Somehow, even as a kid, I had empathy. Once I was grabbing ice chunks (a rare treat) off the back of an ice truck (before refrigeration was common), and a drunk on the street thought I was hungry and offered me part of his sandwich.

I was irritated at the grocery store yesterday. It was about six thirty but a lot of people were there and not wearing masks. I was keeping about twenty feet back and this big girl pushed in front of me. sorry to say but I yelled at her and she got in someone else's line. I think this has all of us on edge.

Our market sports about half and half people wearing masks. The aisles are not crowded, I pick my spots and avoid people as best I can. So far, so good. The only real shortages are paper towels, toilet paper, facial tissue. But I do worry about what I hear about the meat packing plants. We have to save the people, but we have to eat too. What a dilemma.

Yes, last time I saw them I felt differently.

I really enjoyed that Liar Tweets Tonight video. It would make a great campaign ad - sort of a 'need we say more?'

How do I see the Liar Tweets Tonight video? Can I Google it?

It really would. I just read a good headline, using the phrase "Commander-in-bleach."
