Spring Clean-up

I am slowly, one project at a time getting my yard cleaned up. The leaves are raked out front and I must spread grass seed as the grass has thinned considerably. I should re-sod, but I don't have that kind of money. My gutters are cleaned out, and the branches are trimmed back where they were hitting/overhanging the roof. One day soon I will pressure wash the driveway and the front and sides of the house. That has to be done at least every other year in Florida because of the mold that creeps up the sides of houses.

My back yard is more work than I have the time or the energy for, but one project at a time, I will get it done too. I have two beds out back that require serious weeding. The severe weather killed my avocado tree this past winter and I have it cut out already, but I have not started the weeding yet. My lawn is so thin that I have to reseed, but the creeping grass fills my flower beds!I've tried Roundup and other methods but I just can't seem to keep the grass out of those beds.

I am exhausted already just thinking about all of the work I have to do! :-)

How did I forget that there are three beds? Well, I got two cleaned out anyway. No energy left to start the third.

My goal is to have a tomato, a yellow squash, a zuchinni and just to
maintain. The wind today is 50 to 60 miles an hour and pollen is rampant.
I am waiting for a nicer day. Ration yourself to an h our a day in
the yard and it will all get done.

Grass in the flower beds is such a problem, I feel a little guilty about mine because they didn't used to be that way.

I have one bed that is a complete embarrassment!

One thing at a time, one step at a time. Not to worry, you're making headway. Well done! It's not a race, dear Dottie.

Yes, I am slowly getting the job done. The key word here is slowly.

I feel so lazy hearing about all the work that you have done outside. I still haven't done anything. I am looking forward to it, though, now that the weather seems nice enough to spend time outside.

You are not lazy. You just have other priorities.
