Wow! Another comment lost! I think I might be leaving the page before hitting 'send' because this is another post were a comment I thought I left is not there. It was just about how you motivated me to write my congressman, but he died just two days ago- right after I read your post. Bill Young was a Republican, but he was not an extremist and a strong advocate for military and veterans.

Wow! You had me worried but it ended ok. Nothing wrong with a wonderful dream/fantasy. One of my favorite actors, Patrick Stewart, just married a woman more than half his age and I find myself disappointed in him. I struggle with aging a great deal and I wish we did not get gray, wrinkled or fat, but we all do. (Maybe not fat- but the rest is true.) Still, I will not fault you for "the girl of your dreams". What a wonderful memory.

The shingles outbreak is probably stress induced. Shingles can be hell! Ten percent smaller is an improvement.(Bobby) Maybe this next series of treatments will do it. Tell Bobby to do fun things even if he does not feel like it. A good mood aids healing.

I am with you, Jeri! We need someone new- and compassionate! No one in the Tea Party fills that bill. We need politicians like Will McAvoy from Newsroom. When challenged in the season finale he said this:
Do you call yourself a Republican so you can make a claim to credibility when you attack the GOP?
He responds thusly:
No, I call myself a Republican because I am one.
I believe in market solutions and common sense realities and the necessity to defend ourselves against a dangerous world and that’s about it.
The problem is now I have to be homophobic.
I have to count the number to times people go to church.
I have to deny facts and think scientific research is a long con.
I have to think poor people are getting a sweet ride.
And I have to have such a stunning inferiority complex that I fear education and intellect…in the 21st century.
But most of all, the biggest new requirement, really the only requirement is that I have to hate Democrats.
And I have to hate Chris Christie for not spitting on the president when he got off of Air Force One.

The two-party system is crucial to the whole operation. There is honor in being the loyal opposition. And I’m a Republican for the same reasons you are.

I think McAvoy speaks for many Americans. I'm not sure I could call myself a Republican, but if they were acting like the dignitaries they are supposed to be, I'm sure I wouldn't constantly be dealing with "outrage fatigue."
