Have to Make up My Mind

I just can't make up my mind about the cover. I painted an image (posted it previously) but did not like it. Now, I am trying this. This background is one of my own photographs, as is the town- heavily Photoshopped to remove all identifying text and made to look like a faded photo. The photo is of Winchester, Ky.

I am proofreading the text sent to me by the copy editors. I should finish that later today and be able to send it back. I have also been busy with Auxiliary stuff and have a booklet that has to go to the printer today. I will take care of that first so that I can get back to work on this.

It does look good and is better than the landscape. It invites the reader

I am going to use a variant of this. I put jeans on the girl and another picture- one of my grandparents on their farm in Kentucky in the "stack".

yes,the black of both person are too dark and need to lighten up some.
Not sure that I like the long hair on that person. For some reason this throws it off.But that is me.Wish you luck whatever you decide.

What--are we now judging a book by its cover? Hope you're staying cool.

Yes, you are judging a book by its cover! I want a cover that will draw attention.

I love that old post card look, and the couple kissing is very interesting, makes me want to find out what purging has to do with that couple.

I put jeans on the girl and another photo in the "stack". AJ will understand the meaning of the photos since he read the manuscript.

I really like the look of the design. The only thing you might want to consider is that it is a little difficult to see "Monica" in the beginning because the black text is on top of a dark green. I love the feel of the overall design!

As I mentioned, I changed the type to white and added another photo to the stack. That will have more meaning for you than the others since you read it.
