Kaleidoscope

I have this three-sided kaleidoscope that I bought several decades ago at a fair. It is made out of leaded glass and has four one inch marbles and a glass tube filled with colored glitter that can be mounted to the front to see the kaleidoscope effects.

(Thought it might be simpler to just photograph it.) Like I said, I have had it for decades and it is a shame that I do not remember where or when I bought it.

So, what about this kaleidoscope? I have had several weird dreams lately. The faces and events are sometimes blurred like a bokeh or maybe a kaleidoscope- but I think bokeh or a fog might be closer to my dreams. The backgrounds are blurred and sometimes I can make out a central image. Sometimes it is a single focused image but everything else is blurred, and at other times, everything is blurred. A watercolor in the rain...
Possibly a kaleidoscope comes to mind because I still "see" vivid colors. If I could paint my dreams... That is my present goal. I must finish this year's commitments to the Auxiliary, but I want my life back. I want to paint and write again.

They are beautiful images. I am glad to see that you are going to paint and
write because creativity is so satisfying. You are multi talented. Read
The Night Circus by Erin Morganstern because it will jump start you and stir
your imagination.

Wow! I wouldn't have expected it to work taking pictures through the view hole of the kaleidoscope. Just shows how creative you are, Dottie.

P.S. The images are photographs T took through the kaleidoscope eye piece. Same marble- just turned it a bit.

Good luck. I'm no expert on dreams, so I can't help you there; but I have always been fascinated by kaleidoscopes.
